The transaction is posted as a “Balance Transfer.” If you transfer a balance, we will charge you interest on all new and outstanding purchases until you pay your entire balance in full. After that, you will have a grace period on purchases when you pay your entire statement balance each month by the payment due date.

To transfer the balance to your USAA credit card, you can request a convenience check. However, please be aware that requesting a convenience check will take longer as this is a physical check and not a digital transaction and will be dependent on the postal system to deliver.
You can find your status in the Balance Transfer history, which is in the Account Services section of your credit card account summary page. The status will be listed as one of the following:
- Pending: Your Balance Transfer information has been submitted.
- Completed: Your Balance Transfer has processed and cannot be modified or canceled.
- Unsuccessful: Your Balance Transfer couldn't be completed.
You can transfer balances totaling up to your transfer limit. Your transfer limit is equal to 95% of your credit limit less any other balances (including pending transactions, interest and fees). We may refuse to process a balance transfer if it would exceed your transfer limit.
