To close an account, call us during business hours at 800-531-USAA (8722). You can also use our online chat.
Before calling to close an account, make sure that:
- You update your direct deposits.
- All ATM/debit card pending transactions have posted to your account.
- Your account has no active disputes.
- You don't have pending USAA Pay Bills payments.
- All checks have cleared your account.
We'll talk you through any other steps that may be needed before closing your account.
