Card activation FAQ

Yes, but only if it's a replacement for a damaged card. To do this, you'll need to complete a transaction with your PIN at a USAA ATM.

If you replaced your card for any other reason or have a new one, you'll need to activate your card online. Or call us at 800-315-4906.

Once you have activated your card, you can set your PIN.

Your card will require activation if it arrives with an activation sticker on it.

You can start using your credit or ATM/debit card immediately after activation.

It typically takes 7 to 10 business days to get your card after we mail it. If you're overseas, delivery may take up to 21 business days. If you want to check the estimated arrival date, you can track your card's status.
