Level up your security with biometrics.

Keep your information safe while quickly accessing your account.

What’s a biometric logon?

It’s technology that uses biological characteristics like your fingerprint, face or voice to verify your identity.

At USAA, we care deeply about your security. That’s why we offer several enhanced logon options.

One of those methods is biometrics. It’s a faster, safer way to log on to your account on the USAA Mobile App.

It helps make doing business with us more convenient while adding an extra layer of protection.

Extra protection against fraud

With scams on the rise, having a strong password isn’t enough. Every year, millions of U.S. consumers fall victim to identity theft.

Innovative methods like biometrics make it harder for anyone other than you to gain access to your accounts.

How to enroll in biometrics

  1. Open the USAA Mobile App and select your initials.
  2. Find your “Quick Logon” settings if you’re on an Apple device or your “Security” settings if you’re on an Android device.
  3. Choose fingerprint, face or voice ID.
  4. Enable biometrics.

If you want to use biometrics on more than one device, just repeat these steps on each. You can unenroll at any time.

How’s my biometric data stored?

Your security is our priority. If you use fingerprint or face ID, your data is encrypted and stored on your device. We don’t have access to it.

For voice ID, USAA and its service providers store biometric data on encrypted and secure servers.

If you unenroll, we’ll remove any biometric data you've given us. You’ll have to enroll again if you want to use biometrics in the future.

Biometrics FAQ

Yes, but you’ll need to enable Quick Logon again.

You can access usaa.com on another computer and Disable Quick Logon via Security Preferences, which removes the

capability of using biometrics on any previous mobile devices.

To unenroll from biometrics, go to your Quick Logon settings and select “unenroll.” To use biometrics in the future, you’ll need to enroll again.
