Your logon method matters.
Scammers are getting smarter every day, and traditional passwords aren’t secure enough.
That’s why we encourage members to use the strongest authentication options we provide: multifactor authentication.
Multifactor Authentication
This security feature adds an extra layer of protection to your logon and reduces the risk of fraud. You identify yourself with a combination of things unique to you:
- Something you know, like your PIN
- Something you have, like a one-time code
- Something you are, like your fingerprint or face
Creating strong passwords
Even with the extra security provided by these logon options, you still want to have a strong password. Hacking or guessing your password is one of the most basic tactics a cybercriminal will use to gain access to your accounts.
Here are some tips for your passwords:
- Create different passwords for different websites.
- Change your passwords every few months.
- Don't write your password where others can see it.
- Don't include your name or words from the dictionary.
