Here are a few ways to help make renters insurance more affordable.
- Increase your deductible. The more you can pay out of pocket, the lower your premium. Just make sure you have enough cash set aside to cover the deductible amount in the event you have a covered loss.
- Have military gear and uniforms? We'll waive your deductible in the event of a covered loss while you're on active or reserve duty.See note7
- Carry only liability coverage. If your renters policy only includes liability and you file a claim, there is no deductible. Remember that liability coverage doesn't protect your personal property.
