The technology coverage helps provide more coverage for your electronics. If you accidentally damage or lose your electronic devices, we'll help pay to repair or replace them up to your coverage limit. You can choose between $1,000 and $10,000 of coverage with a small $250 deductible. When setting your coverage limit, consider how much it would cost you to replace all your devices.See note2
If you have coverage with another company, choose the one that works best for you. Look at the coverages your current policy offers and compare it with ours. Find out what your deductible is and what you're covered for. Our tech coverage has a $250 deductible and covers common losses like drops, spills, theft, loss and more.
Your renters insurance covers your electronics, but with limits. Your renters policy covers things like theft, vandalism, weather-related damage and fire. The technology coverage includes those, plus common losses like drops, spills, loss and more.
The computer coverage protects laptops, desktop computers and tablets. The technology coverage includes these, plus other devices like smartphones and watches, TVs, gaming systems and more. Both cover the same losses, such as drops and spills. If you already have the computer coverage, you have two choices:
-
You can keep it. It'll still cover your laptops, tablets and desktop computers.

You can switch to the technology coverage to protect more devices. Once you switch, you can't go back to the computer coverage.
