Has your vehicle arrived in Spain?
To register a vehicle for the first time in Spain, USAA will email you an International Motor Insurance Card. Once the vehicle is registered and you've provided USAA with the license plate number, we'll email you the Spanish proof of insurance.
Important: Report your Spanish license plate number on usaa.com or the USAA Mobile App or call us as soon as you have it. Failure to do so could result in a fine and seizure of your vehicle.
Returning to the United States?
Once you've removed your name from the vehicle registration and taken all the insurance documents out of the vehicle, you can cancel insurance at any time. But you must pay a premium for any coverage you've received. If you're shipping your vehicle to the U.S., you'll need to keep your Spanish policy coverage on it until it arrives.
