Help protect your car and property in Guam.

Has your vehicle arrived in Guam?

  • You can continue to keep your vehicle registered in the continental U.S.
  • If you choose to register your vehicle in Guam, please let us know as soon as possible. USAA must confirm your insurance with the Guam Motor Vehicle Division, or GMVD.
  • The GMVD requires certain auto insurance documents to be countersigned. This means an insurance agent's signature is required on the declarations documents and any amended declarations documents after the policy has been issued. This regulation requires us to mail you the countersigned documents even if you've requested they be sent to you electronically.
  • Your policy extends coverage to the United States and may protect you and other licensed drivers in your household when operating vehicles in the U.S.

Returning to the United States?

Once you've removed your name from the vehicle registration and taken all the insurance documents out of the vehicle, you can cancel insurance at any time. But you must pay a premium for any coverage you've received. If you're shipping your vehicle to the U.S., you'll need to keep your Guam policy coverage on it until it arrives.
