Projected balance
A projected balance is an estimate of what your account balance may be in the future, based on the transactions in your “Scheduled Transactions” section. We’ve included payments and transfers we are aware of. You can improve the accuracy of the projected balance by adding reminders, but your projected balance is only as accurate as you make it.
A projected balance includes:
- Today's available balance.
- Future-dated funds transfers scheduled through USAA.
- Future-dated payments scheduled through USAA Pay Bills.
- Reminders you've added.
Your projected balance is not your available balance. Relying on a projected balance that includes incorrect or incomplete reminders could result in declined or returned items and associated fees.
You can find your projected balance under the “Scheduled Transactions” tab on your account summary page.
Scheduled transactions help you plan ahead. We've included USAA Funds Transfer and USAA Pay Bills transactions you've scheduled through us and any reminders you've added here.
This is not a tool to pay bills. It's a planning aid to help you add and track any upcoming expenses and income you expect in the future. Your projected balance is not your available balance. Relying on a projected balance that includes incorrect or incomplete reminders could result in declined or returned items and associated fees.
A reminder transaction helps you keep track of expected transactions, such as future income or expenses. These are transactions added by you that you expect to post to your account. You could add:
- Checks you've written.
- Payroll deposits.
- Payments you've scheduled through a non-USAA company using your account number and routing number.
- Monthly subscriptions.
