Replacing a credit card is fast and secure.
It only takes a few minutes to order a new credit card online. You'll give us some details and we'll take care of the rest.
- If your credit card is lost, we'll send you a card with a new number.
- If your credit card is damaged, we'll send you a card with the same number.
- If your credit card was stolen and used for fraud, we recommend reporting the fraudulent activity.

What happens after I order a new credit card?
New credit cards typically arrive in 7 to 10 business days, or 2 to 3 business days with expedited shipping.
If your card was lost
- You’ll need to update your automatic payments since your new credit card will have a different number.
- We may still process pending charges made in a store or online.
- We’ll decline any new charges to the old credit card number.
- Any temporary block on your lost credit card does not carry over to the new one.
If your card was damaged
- You can continue to use your current credit card until your new one arrives.
- When you have the new card, cut up or shred the old one.
- Your automatic payments will continue as scheduled since your new credit card will have the same number.
Why isn't my credit card eligible for replacement?
There are several reasons why your credit card might not be eligible for replacement:
- It's a brand-new credit card.
- It's recently been replaced or reported lost.
- The address on the account recently changed.
- It's restricted for suspicious activity.

Yes. If your lost USAA Visa® credit card was previously registered with Apple Pay®, Google Pay® or Samsung Pay®, then we'll update your credit card information in your digital wallet.
Yes. If your damaged USAA Visa® credit card was previously registered with Apple Pay®, Google Pay® or Samsung Pay®, then we'll update your credit card information in your digital wallet.
At this time, digital wallet registrations within the USAA Mobile App are not available for American Express® credit cards. Once your receive your credit card credentials, go directly to the digital wallet provider's mobile app to add your card.
