Deposit checks by mail FAQ

General

Use our vendor Harland Clarke® to order postage-paid envelopes and deposit slips. Each order usually arrives in 7 to 10 business days. You can choose expedited shipping for an additional fee.

No. These envelopes are only for making deposits into the checking or savings account that you designate when you order.

You'll get 25 deposit envelopes and 25 personalized deposit slips that include your account number.

You can deposit:

  • Personal checks
  • Cashier's checks
  • Teller's checks
  • Corporate checks
  • Convenience checks
  • Money orders

Each of these can also be deposited electronically through the USAA Mobile App.

No. Don't send cash or coins to us in the mail for deposit because it's not secure.

If your account is eligible, you can use Deposit@Mobile®.‍ ‍ You can also make deposits to your account through one of these options. Certain restrictions may apply.
