What is an authorized user?
Adding someone from your profile means you're giving them the ability to use your USAA credit card account. This gives the authorized user access to great benefits of a USAA credit card.
When you add an authorized user, they'll get a credit card in their name with a unique credit card number. There are two levels of access you choose when adding an authorized user: basic and enhanced.
Authorized users with basic permissions can:
- Conduct balance transfers
- Request cash advances
- Make payments
- Add a temporary block on their credit card
- Delete themselves as an authorized user from the account
- Activate their credit card
- Manage the PIN for their credit card
- Replace their damaged or lost card
- Check the mailing status of their card
Authorized users with enhanced permissions can access basic permission features plus:
- The ability to view pending, approved and declined transactions
- Access monthly statements for the Credit Card Account
- Discuss transactions and monthly statements with a member service representative
