How do I make deposits?

To make deposits into your savings account you can:

Transfer money electronically from another USAA Federal Savings Bank (F S B) account you own or from another bank.
Snap a picture of a check using our free Deposit@Mobile® feature in the USAA Mobile App.
Deposit at select USAA Federal Savings Bank A T M's.
Use your savings account's unique account number located in statements to set up direct deposit. You'll also need USAA F S B's routing number: 314074269.

Note 1 Savings Cash Promotion Offer Terms and Conditions
Eligibility:
Offer available for new USAA Performance First Savings accounts from USAA Federal Savings Bank, also known as USAA Bank, applied for between January 15, 2025, and April 24, 2025, by 11:59 p.m. Central Time. The account is not eligible for this offer if it is titled as a trust account, estate account, Uniform Transfers to Minors Act account, or any other representative or fiduciary account. The account must remain open and in good standing through the time we attempt to deposit any earned bonus payment.
Bonus Requirements and Payment:
To qualify for the bonus:
(1) Apply for a new USAA Performance First Savings account between January 15, 2025, and April 24, 2025, by 11:59 p.m. Central Time.
(2) Once your account is opened, receive qualifying new money deposits of at least $15,000 into the account by the end of the Initial Funding Period, which is 30 calendar days after account opening. Note that your account open date may not be the same as your application date. New money deposits are deposits that are new to USAA Bank, deposited into your new savings account from outside of USAA Bank. Electronic deposits or transfers received from any other USAA Bank account or product or from a USAA Bank credit card do not qualify. Interest earned on your account and any fee rebates or waivers credited to your account do not qualify. Deposit cutoff times apply. Deposits may be subject to limits. Depending on your limits, you may need to initiate multiple deposits or initiate deposits from your non-USAA Bank accounts. See the Depository Agreement and Disclosures for details.
(3) Maintain a minimum daily ledger balance of at least $15,000 for the duration of the Qualification Period, which is a period of 90 calendar days after the Initial Funding Period. The total promotion period is 120 days from your account open date. If the account's ledger balance drops below the $15,000 minimum daily ledger balance on any day during the 90-calendar day Qualification Period, the account will not qualify to receive the cash bonus. The ledger balance in the account is determined each business day at the completion of our end-of-day processing.
We will attempt to deposit the $200 bonus into your qualifying new USAA Performance First Savings account within 60 calendar days after the end of the Qualification Period. You are responsible for any federal, state, or local taxes due on the bonus and we will report the bonus as income to the tax authorities if required by applicable law. Consult your tax advisor.

All account applications are subject to approval prior to account opening and may be subject to a $1,000 minimum opening deposit. Offer can't be paid without a valid U.S. taxpayer identification number or combined with any other bonus related to consumer savings accounts. The account is not eligible for this offer if: 1) the primary account holder currently has, or has had, primary, secondary, or any other ownership of a USAA Bank checking account (including USAA Youth Spending accounts) in the 12 months prior to account opening; or 2) the account is titled as a trust account, estate account, Uniform Transfers to Minors Act account, or any other representative or fiduciary account. The primary account holder is the account holder whose U.S. taxpayer identification number is used for tax reporting purposes on the new account. The account must remain open and in good standing through the time we attempt to deposit any earned bonus payment.

To qualify for the bonus, apply for a new USAA Classic Checking account between January 15, 2025, and April 24, 2025, by 11:59 PM Central Time, open your account, and receive a qualifying direct deposit of at least $100 into the account within 180 calendar days after account opening. Note that your account open date may not be the same as your application date. A qualifying direct deposit is a single Automated Clearing House, also known as ACH, electronic deposit of $100 or more. An electronic transfer initiated from your new USAA Bank checking account that instructs USAA Bank to pull funds from another financial institution into your account does not qualify as a direct deposit. Internal transfers between USAA Bank accounts do not qualify. We will attempt to deposit the $200 bonus into your qualifying new USAA Classic Checking account within 60 calendar days after the first qualifying direct deposit amount has been received.
