Roadside assistance FAQ
For roadside assistance in the continental U.S. or Canada, you can:
- Start your request on usaa.com.
- Request help through our mobile app.
For help outside the U.S. or in a U.S. territory, visit the international contact page. Choose your country or territory, and then call the claims number listed under "Auto and Property Insurance."
If you're having car trouble, locked your keys in your car or you're stuck on the side of the road, we may be able to help.
USAA roadside assistance covers:
- Towing from the point of breakdown to the nearest repair shop.
- Jump-starting your battery.
- Changing a tire when you have a functioning spare.
- Unlocking your vehicle if you lock your keys in it.
- Winching your vehicle if it's stuck on or near a public road.
- Delivering fuel to you. You'll have to pay out of pocket for the cost of the fuel.
You'll need to wait with your vehicle for assistance. If you leave your vehicle, the only service we can provide is towing.
You can review and edit your auto policy online or ask our automated agent after you log on. If you need assistance now and don't have coverage, please contact us. As an additional benefit, we can provide these services at a discounted rate.
If you have roadside coverage but already paid for assistance, you can submit your expenses for reimbursement here. We'll consider reasonable fees and charges.
